Several Mercedes models suffer from the common dead / fading / disappearing pixel problem on the instrument cluster (also on the board computer) – on the large LCD display that shows valuable data such as the mileage and the on board computer messages. The pixel problem most cases lies with the ribbon cable / flat cable that connects the LCD display to the circuit board, however in some cases (when the LCD display can aonly be replaced together with the ribbon cable) the complete LCD display replacement works perfectly.
